I am always on the move, in summer I climb the high mountains and in winter when the snow begins to fall low to the valleys. Do you know who I am?
They call me "Transhumance". What a strange name, right? But, you asked what I carry up the mountain down the mountain. I carry cattle, cows, sheep, goats, horses. For thousands of years, shepherds have brought livestock from summer pastures to winter pastures to take advantage of fresh pastures.
Now the transhumance has declined and the cattle no longer descend from the winter pastures to the summer pastures, but there are thousands of kilometers of roads where cattle used to travel long ago, now we can freely walk around them and enjoy the nature.
Well, I have not told everything, sometimes, some, few shepherds currently continue to lead the cattle along these roads, to see if you are lucky to be able to see them.
